SEE YOU IN NYC !! May 4, 2010

Posted by lycan librarian in Books and reading.

The time is here! I’m off to NYC, so I will post my next blog early next week to tell you how the Monster Throwdown went. If you live near or will be in The Big Apple, I hope to see you Thursday. I have posted the information below:

On May 6th,  the Lycan Librarian will be at Peter Norton’s Symphony Space. Pulitzer Prize-winning Louisa May Alcott biographer John Matteson (Eden’s Outcasts: The Story of Louisa May Alcott and Her Father) sits down with authors Lynn Messina (Little Vampire Women) and Porter Grand (Little Women and Werewolves) to discuss the process of reimagining a beloved American classic… with monsters. A book signing will follow. The event will be introduced by Ron Hogan of Beatrice.com, the well-known literary blog, which is presenting the event. It will be an interesting and stimulating evening with a lively panel discussion about Louisa May Alcott, her work, and the modern reinvention of her books with the addition of werewolves and other legendary characters. There is no reason not to attend as it will be quite safe for you come out — the moon will not be full.
