WHEN I READ, I DREAM March 18, 2011

I woke up to a surprise today. A friend saw a Jo March doll from the When I Read, I Dream series, thought of my LITTLE WOMEN AND WEREWOLVES, and bought it for me. Jo stands in her attic, preparing to buckle down and write. I don’t know what I like more: the doll, the setting she’s in, or the title of the doll series. WHEN I READ, I DREAM. Aren’t those beautiful words? I’m glad such magical words are reaching young ears and burrowing into the brains that are so often, these days, stuffed with diversions that seem to distract from, instead of contributing to, the creative process. Thanks for the doll, Dawn!
